Harvest: The Bountiful Blessings of Autumn

Fall Sky Morning in East Texas Oct 21 2023 @NancyMurillo

As the dog days of summer give way to the crisp mornings of autumn, we find ourselves enveloped in a season that holds a special kind of magic. It’s a time when the world is painted in hues of gold and red, a time when the rural heart beats in rhythm with the changing seasons. For us folks who call the countryside home, autumn is a season of blessings, a time to reap the rewards of a year’s worth of hard work and to give thanks for the gifts of the earth.

One of the most treasured aspects of autumn in the rural landscape is the harvest. After months of tending, it’s time to gather the fruits of our labor. There’s a deep satisfaction in seeing the barns filled with hay, cupboards and freezers filled with food and gardens going into their fall and winter respite.

A wonderful benefit of the autumn season is the opportunity to reconnect with nature. As the air turns cooler and the leaves begin to change, the rural landscape takes on a whole new beauty. The woods are alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and the calls of migrating birds. There is the lingering scent of wood smoke. It’s a time to take a leisurely stroll through the countryside, to breathe in the fresh, crisp air, and to marvel at the stunning array of colors that nature provides.

Autumn is a time for reflection and gratitude. As the year draws to a close, we take stock of the blessings we have received and the challenges we have overcome. We give thanks for the harvest, for the health of our families and our communities, and for the simple pleasures of life in the countryside. It’s a time to gather around the table sharing stories and laughter, and enjoying the fruits of labor.

In addition to the practical aspects of autumn, there is also a sense of celebration and community in the rural landscape. Harvest festivals and fairs bring people together to celebrate the season. There are hayrides and corn mazes, apple picking and pumpkin carving, bonfires and barn dances. These events provide an opportunity for community, to share our stories and our traditions, and to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Perhaps one of the most important benefits of autumn in the rural landscape is the opportunity for reflection and renewal. As the pace of life slows down and the days grow shorter, we have the chance to take a step back and to reassess our priorities. It’s a time to reconnect with values and our roots, to rediscover things that truly matter in life. By simply taking a walk in the woods, autumn provides us with the space to reconnect with the things that nourish our souls.

Autumn in the rural landscape is a season of blessings. So, as the leaves begin to fall and the air turns crisp, we embrace the gifts of autumn and give thanks for the bountiful blessings of the season.

Until next time,

Reiki Nan

Reiki Blessing Prayer for Groups and Individuals

Let’s Learn About Reiki (including A Daily Reiki Blessing Prayer for Groups and Individuals)

What is Reiki healing?

Reiki healing is a form of energy healing, originating in Japan based on the idea that a Universal Life Force Energy flows through all living beings. This energy can be channeled by a practitioner to promote healing and balance in others. Reiki is often used to reduce stress and promote relaxation, but it is also believed to have the potential to help with a wide range of physical and emotional issues. If you’re interested in using Reiki to improve your life, you can start by finding a qualified practitioner in your area. In addition to working with a practitioner, you can also learn to practice Reiki on yourself.

A practitioner can guide you through a series of sessions, during which you’ll lie down fully clothed while the practitioner gently places their hands near your body. The sessions are typically very relaxing, and many people report feeling a sense of calm and well-being afterward. By learning to practice Reiki on yourself, this can be a powerful way to support your own healing and personal growth, and it can also be a valuable tool for managing stress and promoting balance in your life.

By channeling this force, one can heal oneself and others. A reiki healing blessing prayer is a way of expressing gratitude and asking for guidance from the Universal Source of this energy.

Group prayer:

Thank you, Reiki, for being in and with us always. Thank you for love, light, and wisdom. Thank you for healing us on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Thank you for grace and compassion. Guide us to live in harmony with self and others. Help us to fulfill our purpose and potential and protect us from any harm or negativity. Fill us with joy and peace as we live in this world. As the seasons change, bring us new possibilities for living our best lives. Namaste.

Personal prayer:

In the gentle flow of universal energy, I open myself to the divine light of Reiki. As this healing energy fills my being, I embrace blessings of balance, harmony, and love. Every day, may my heart be a vessel for compassion, my mind a sanctuary of peace, and my spirit a beacon of hope. In the path of daily living, let the wisdom of Reiki guide me, reminding me of the interconnectedness of all things. In the changing of the seasons, lead me to allow positive changes within. In joy or challenge, may I remain grounded in gratitude and kindness. With every breath, I affirm my commitment to nurturing my body, mind, and spirit with the gentle power of Reiki. Namaste and so it is.
